Among other things, "positive" thinking locks its carrier in his comfort zone much more reliably than any negativity. It allows you to make your stay in it really comfortable, ignoring all the inconveniences that a person really experiences.

If you are already healthy, there is no need to spend money, time and effort on treatment. If you are already successful, there is no need to strive for success. If you are grateful to the universe for what you have, the desire to strive for more disappears.

It even works at the level of the body. As soon as the patient imagines that he is already healthy, his body agrees with him and dramatically slows down the real recovery processes.

Real positive thinking looks very different. To return to it, you first need to stop thinking about the positive and the negative altogether. Thoughts are just thoughts, and feelings are just feelings. None of them can be good or bad "in general" - only harmful or useful here and now.

Emotions give strength to move forward. This also applies to negative emotions. Some help to overcome the obstacle, others - to avoid danger, and others - to wait out an unfavorable situation. There is not a single emotion that does not benefit you and does not contribute to your survival. The only question is who controls whom.

And then you need to learn to combine the efforts of the mind with the efforts of the body.

Think of those who were really helped by visualization - recover from illness, gain confidence, improve athletic performance. All of them represented not the final result, but the very process of achieving it. A cancer patient during each radiotherapy saw how the rays destroy his tumor. The athlete mentally sweated during training. The speaker delivered a speech to an imaginary audience.

This is the main part of positive thinking: thinking not about what you are experiencing, and not about what you want to achieve, and certainly not about how many obstacles you can still get in your way, and how many people are missing, before reaching the end point. You need to think about what you are doing here and now - or, at least, about what you intend to do right now.

Thinking positively means first of all thinking constructively. Focus on your own actions and not someone else's.

Only then can unnecessary fear be cured while maintaining healthy caution. Get out of the vicious circle of self-belief in your own worthlessness, while at the same time avoiding phantom self-confidence and euphoria.

And the "materiality of thoughts" has absolutely nothing to do with it.
