Dark elf witches. Dark elves

The Dark Elves worship many dark and forbidden gods, but by far the most famous is Cain, the god of murder. In the society of Dark Elves, his cult is the largest, led by priestesses known as queens of witches, the mistresses of Cain's brides - elven witches. Cain demands the offering of a bloody, agonizing sacrifice, for he is the god of death and suffering. Every Dark Elven city has at least one temple dedicated to Cain, and all the Black Arks have a chapel to the god of murder. The largest temple is located in Har Ganete, where constantly, day and night, sacrifices are made to the Blood-handed god.

During cruel ceremonies, elven witches bring themselves to ecstatic fervor, tear the heart out of the victim's chest and throw it on iron braziers, drawing the runes of Cain on their bodies with the blood of the victims and decorating the altars of the bloodthirsty master with bones and entrails. In battle, they are no less terrible, they are the most cruel and bloodthirsty of all Dark Elves. Before the battle, elven witches drink blood mixed with poisonous herbs, which causes a fierce thirst for blood. They have no shields, and they do not care at all about their protection; they are armed with sharp swords and long knives, the blades of which are treated with poison. As soon as the battle begins, the elven witches rush at their enemies, chopping them apart with a flurry of poisoned blades. Those unfortunates who did not die from wounds are surrounded by elven witches after the end of the battle. These poor fellows are torn apart at victory celebrations, and their blood is used as a libation of thanks to the god of murder.

The witch queens, who lead the elven witches, are privy to the innermost secrets of the cult. It is they who prepare the poisonous potions that arouse the fury of battle among the elven witches. They wield ancient weapons from temple vaults and know the secret names of their god that can confuse or defeat opponents. The fighting skills of these priestesses have been honed over centuries of war, and their thirst for battle knows no bounds. Witch queens bathe in cauldrons of blood to rejuvenate their flesh. The oldest witch queen has led the cult for thousands of years.

Brides of the Boiling Blood

The Brides of the Boiling Blood is one of many elven witch cults that does not have a permanent sanctuary in any of the Dark Elven cities. They prefer to worship Cain exclusively on the battlefield, where the blood-soaked earth becomes an altar, and the blood of enemies becomes a sacrifice to the Blood-handed god. They care little about the delivery of living prisoners to Naggaroth, since they believe that the blood spilled in the midst of the battle, where it is not diluted and still saturated with both fear and rage, is most appreciated by Cain. Since Cain is also the lord of suffering, the brides use a rare poison, which is used to lubricate the deadly blades - from this poison the blood of the victims literally boils. Anyone wounded by such a blade dies, screaming from excruciating convulsions, and his blood spews from severed arteries.

After the battle, the brides, smeared with blood, appear one by one before the queen of witches. If it turns out that most of the witch's skin was not touched by the sacrifice to Cain - namely, the blood shed in battle - then it will be decided that the sacrifices made are not pleasing to the god of murder. Then the elven witches, in a frenzy of repentant rage, seek other victims and attack them with renewed vigor. It doesn't matter if these victims are other Dark Elves: this is how brides are eager to shed blood in the name of a merciless god.

Bloody Cauldron

The cauldrons of blood are said to be Cain's gift to the elven witches as a reward for his loyalty to his cause. Or so Morathi demanded when she gave the first cauldron to the cult of Cain. Each cauldron is shaped like a huge pot made of sturdy copper, covered with arcane runes that shimmer and glow with magical light. The cauldron is filled with the blood of countless victims sacrificed by the elven witches. Strangely, the cauldron never overflows and always remains at the same level, no matter how many gallons of victims' blood are poured into it. Each cauldron is served by an elven witch, who is called the keeper of the cauldron. Usually the cauldrons are safely stored in the city temples of the elven witches, but when they go into battle, they take it out and take it with them. The presence of the cauldron of blood inspires the Dark Elves to become more belligerent, while its magical properties give them strength.

Death night

Elven witches live in the temples of Cain under the strict supervision of the witch queens. Witch queens are incredibly ancient; once a year they take part in the violent celebrations of the Night of Death. The echoes of mad drumming and the shrill roar of temple chimneys echo through the streets, while thick smoke of blood-red incense streams through the squares and down the alleys, sheltering Cain's beloved huntresses. Groups of elven witches roam the city streets and kidnap any Dark Elves they find, sometimes breaking into homes to take the numbed inhabitants for sacrifice.

On the night of Death, the witch queens are washed in blood to be reborn, and at this time they are the most charming and voluptuous of all elves, their unusual, deathly pale beauty is more powerful and charming than any magic. Over the course of a year, they again turn into emaciated old women, and remain so until the Night of Death comes again, and the Dark Elves hide in their homes, listening to the noisy fun and ominous laughter of the elven witches' midnight celebrations.

Witch Elves

"Do not desire the touch of Maibd, Khaine's bride, for her life is entirely given to the Lord of Murders, and he is a jealous god who does not want to share his chosen ones with anyone."
- Ruerl Blackhand, Lord Har Ganeth

Witch Elves are dark elf maidens who are married to Khaine, Lord of Assassinations, during midnight magical ceremonies with bloody sacrifices. The delicate and delicate look of Ulthuan's daughters is nothing compared to the heady beauty of the Elven witches. Elven witches fight in the armies of the dark elves, seeking to prove themselves in the eyes of their deity. The battlefield for them is just another temple to Khaine, and the screams of the dying are hymns of praise to the god with bloody hands.

Elven Witches Specialization

Khaine's brides are fanatical in battle. With long ritual daggers wet with terrible poisons, these unusually fast and agile warriors sweep across the battlefield, leaving blood and destruction in their wake. The more blood they shed, the stronger their lust for battle. As the Frenzy of the Elven Witch grows, so does the number of her extraordinary fighting abilities. At the height of her rage, the Elven Witch is capable of breaking through even the most reliable defenses.

Playing as the Elven Witch

Under certain circumstances, the Elven Witch can be an unforgiving weapon of death and destruction. By carefully choosing her target, the Elven Witch is able to quickly win the fight. Elven witches prefer to quickly approach foes in light armor, whose unprotected flesh is easily infiltrated by their terrible poisons. Using a combination of swift attacks, the Elven Witch deliberately goes into a rage in order to use powerful attacks that will instantly finish off almost any enemy. Fighting an enemy clad in heavy armor, the Elven Witch hopes that her agility will allow her to hold out long enough to deal with the enemy's defenses and open them up to a ferocious fatal blow.

Fighting the Elven Witch

The key to defeating Khaine's bride is not to let the beauty of her savage attacks overwhelm you. In the battle with the Elven Witch, the best resistance to her terrible blows will be to respond in kind. Elven witches pay for their speed and dexterity with their almost complete lack of protection, and you should take advantage of this to win. You need to either defend yourself and wait for her anger to die down, or put up a worthy resistance in the hope that you will be able to defeat the Elven Witch before she rewards you with the kiss of death.

Elven witch appearance

In light and mobile armor, they are able to rapidly cover long distances.
They wear long ritual daggers covered in deadly poisons.
The armor is adorned with razor-sharp hooks and spiked metal plates.

Cauldron of Blood / Temple of the Bloody Remains

(Cauldron of Blood / Bloodwrack Shrine)

material: plastic

The Cauldron of Blood is the battle altar of Khaine, the God of Bloody Hands. Controlled in battle by the Death Hag and two Elven Witches, imbued with dark spells, he is able to induce the Dark Elves into a state of murderous rage. The Temple of the Bloody Remains is protected by the terrifying Bloodwrack Medusa. As soon as the enemy meets her gaze, he will slowly die a painful death, while his blood flows from all the pores on his body.

This model can be assembled in one of two options: as the Cauldron of Blood or as the Temple of the Bloody Remains.

The main part of the boiler of blood is the statue of Khaine. Two Elven Witches, each armed with a pair of daggers, are her crew. You can also add to the model either the Karga of Death, armed with a dagger and holding a thicket, or the Hag Queen Hellebron, armed with the Deathsword and Cursed Blade. Also, with the help of free stands, you can make any of these characters in the form of a separate walking figure.

The Temple of the Bloody Remains is distinguished by the presence of the Medusa of the Bloody Remains, which is located at the top of the model. With the monster base, Medusa can be made as a standalone walking figure (if you wish). Just behind Medusa of the Blood Remains is a huge mirror, and two Shrinekeepers are armed with spears and hide their faces behind intimidating masks.

Charybdiss/ CombatHydra

(Kharibdyss / War Hydra)

material: plastic

Dark Elves love to use a variety of monsters in their armies. One example of such creatures is Charybdiss, a strange and ugly creature pulled from the depths of the oceans. Despite its weak mind, it possesses brute strength capable of crushing the powerful orders of any enemy. The Battle Hydra is very difficult to destroy - as soon as the enemy manages to chop off one of its fire-breathing heads, a new one immediately grows in the Hydra.

The detail representing the body of Charybdiss and the Dark Elven War Hydra is the same. The rest of the details are individual for each of these models. Charybdiss has 5 heads, of which 4 are small (but each is special) and another is large, covered with thorns and with an elongated jaw. To make Charybdiss look like a sea creature, additional armor pieces are glued to her body, elongated claws are glued to her front legs, and thorns are glued to her hind legs. Charybdiss also has a very special tail.

The Battle Hydra has 6 heads, each of which is unique in design. With the help of additional details, Hydra looks more leathery, smoother, which is very different from the "sea" appearance of Charybdiss. The Hydra also has a specific body plate, claws for the paws, a set of spikes for the body and hind legs. The War Hydra also has its own tail.

Regardless of the type of monster, the set also includes two Dark Elf Beastmasters. One of them is armed with two whips, and the other carries a spear with a chain. With this formidable weapon, Elves can maintain at least a semblance of control over monsters.

Elven Witches / Sisters of Slaughter

(Witch Elves / Sisters of Slaughter)

material: plastic

Elven Witches are the most vicious representatives of the Dark Elves. Their lives are completely devoted to the service of Khaine, to whom they constantly sacrifice their enemies. The Slaughterhouse Sisters are experts in deadly hand-to-hand combat. Recruited from the gladiatorial arenas of Naggaroth, they fight with truly murderous prowess.

Using the parts of this box, you can collect either 10 Elven Witches or 10 Sisters of Slaughter. Each Elven Witch is armed with a pair of daggers. The set contains 12 heads (6 of which are of individual design). Each head has its own hair style, and the Karga, who leads the unit, receives the distinctive feature of 4 spikes (instead of the standard 3).

The Slaughter Sisters are armed with whips and shields, and wear fully-covered masks. The set features 16 masked heads (8 of which are custom designs), as well as enough whips and shields for the entire unit. The Handmaiden of Shards is armed with a double-tailed whip, and her mask is adorned with a forked tongue.

The set also includes 2 banners, 3 separate banner tops, and a horn to represent the unit's musician.

Formidable Spears / Dark Shards / Cruel Swords

(Dreadspears / Darkshards / Bleakswords)

material: plastic

The core of the armies of the Dark Elves are dense bands of ordinary warriors of this merciless race. Formidable Spears create impenetrable armored formations bristling with spear points. Cruel Swords are master swordsmen who wield graceful dueling blades. Dark Shards are armed with multi-shot crossbows, a weapon that can unleash a veritable cloud of light but deadly bolts at the enemy.

The box contains parts of 9 bodies, with their heads already attached, while 1 body allows you to glue one of 3 separate heads to it (1 in a helmet and 2 more uncovered) to create a Lordling or Master of the Guard figurine. The set includes 12 separate helmet combs and 3 different banner pips.

The box also contains 10 spears, 11 hands with swords and 11 multiple-shot crossbows. The set also includes 11 unique shields (each decorated with iconography) and a sheathed dagger.

Shadow Blade

(Shadowblade)

material: plastic

A killer of super-elven abilities, the Blade of Shadow has become a true legend of all Assassins. Thanks to his ability to hide in any enemy unit and even move with him, no enemy can feel safe on the battlefield. It is unknown when the Shadowblade will strike. The only thing that is known for sure is that if someone is unlucky and the Shadow Blade appears next to him, his face will be the last thing the victim sees before dying.

The set consists of 7 parts, with the help of which you can assemble a Blade of Shadows armed with 2 daggers.

Combat MagicWarhammer: Dark Elves

(Warhammer Battle Magic: Dark Elves)

Battle Magic Warhammer : Dark Elves is a set of 8 spells from the Art of Dark Magic, which is described in the book Warhammer : Dark Elves. They are printed on separate cards and are intended for ease of use while playing.

Each card is marked with one spell, as well as all the information necessary to use it in the game, including the type of spell, cost of the spell, and range.

The number of these sets is limited. After the last copy is sold, no new ones will be produced.

The figurines are excellent. Witches, like the Witch Dark Eldar, have now become more predatory and aggressive. The snake-like woman is very happy. Kharybdiss is generally beyond praise, such mi-mi-mi ... The only thing that did not please me was the return to the design of old helmets for ordinary soldiers. These spiers on the front of the helmets - IMHO they are not painted at all. Previous edition helmets (no-nothing) were better. However, the tops of the helmets are glued separately, so if you think about it, this is not a drawback at all. Who does not want (like me) - will not glue them, and that's all.

Well, again I draw your attention to the fact that NONE of the figurines has been released in the file cassette. Only plastic.

The Dark Elves of the Warhammer world are cursed pariahs with nothing left in their souls but hatred.

The inhabitants of the whole world despise and fear them, because they know that these creatures are not able to pity, love and rejoice. They are evil that must be either destroyed or avoided. How did it happen that representatives of one of the most sophisticated peoples in the world could degenerate into something like this?

We will try to answer this question.

Fall history

As with the Chaos Dwarfs, the world Warhammer Dark Elves, Druchii or Drukai, as they call themselves, were originally the most ordinary creatures. Faithful sons of their people, yearning for prosperity and peace for their brethren. Alas, the elven nature, inclined to receive various kinds of pleasures, primarily aesthetic ones, did not shy away from carnal fun, as well as other types of pleasures.

The inhabitants of the principality of Nagarit, also called Dark Earth, were especially deeply involved in sybarism. The cult of Pleasures blossomed in him, the followers of which worshiped Slaanesh. She ruled the cult of Morathi, the mother of Malekith - the prince of these lands, who was also not against forbidden pleasures.

More than amusement, however, Malekith longed for knowledge. This elves - the son of the great phoenix king Aenurion, who ended the era of wars with Chaos, and at the same time the times of Great Magic - has always longed for power.

And he had all the prerequisites to become the new ruler of the Azur people: beautiful, sophisticated, incredibly smart and talented, invincible in battle, brilliant tactician and strategist, Malekith seemed to combine all the virtues that can only be found in a mortal ...

Alas, behind the perfect appearance was a rotten interior. Malekith, apparently, was originally "defective", more prone to evil. Although, perhaps this is just speculation. Perhaps without the influence of his mother and the cult of Pleasure, this elf would have made the greatest phoenix king in Azur history.

We will never know!

Everything happened the way it happened. Malekith, driven by his lust for power, diligently strengthened his position. Year after year, he fought for the good of his people, winning countless battles and gaining the respect of princes and common soldiers. He constantly secretly studied forbidden knowledge, becoming stronger and stronger.

And then, one day, Malekith decided that his time had come. And in order to usurp power, he naturally used intrigues, accusing the Phoenix King of supporting the cult of Pleasures, which was forbidden by that time. That is, he accused him of his own sins! Everything was done so skillfully and skillfully that the unfortunate ruler committed suicide, and the elders of his people, who did not believe a single word of the apostate, were accused outside the law.

At the same time, naturally, he appointed himself the main contender for the throne.

It seemed that the dream of this power-hungry man would finally come true, that he had deceived everyone, and that he would triumph! Fortunately, it was beyond his powers to mislead the deity! During the passage of the ritual, without which Malekith could not be considered a real king, he had to enter the sacred flame. He thought it was a mere formality, but it was not there. Fire scorched his flesh and threw the unworthy away, writhe and scream in pain. This is how the inhabitants of the island learned the truth. The terribly disfigured Malekith was taken to his mother, and even this great sorceress took decades to get him back on his feet, but even after a course of magical therapy, Malekith was unable to fully recover. Never again was he as strong and agile as before his failed attempt to sit on the elven throne.

However, he did not have time to rest - immediately after Malekith's flight to his native Nagareth, a civil war began, in which he - weakened and seriously wounded - could not win.

His supporters suffered a crushing defeat, despite the fact that distraught with hatred, the Witch-king conspired with Chaos and received the support of the demons. Having lost the war, the pitiful remnants of the prince's followers were expelled from the sacred land along with their ruler. They, hiding from the righteous anger of their relatives, were forced to sail to the far north - to the cold and gloomy lands of Naggaroth, located in the far north.

Druchiy society

As in the case of other peoples, distorted by Chaos, dark elves created a disgusting society, at the sight of which one wants to immediately start orbital bombing.

To begin with, they, starting with the worship of Slaanesh, got to Khaine, the god of blood. Therefore, each of the dark elves knows - during your life you need to have time to shed as much blood of the innocent as possible in order to please your deity, with whom each of these people will be reunited in the afterlife.

The consequence of this was the monstrous cruelty of the Drukai, stupid and senseless. However, their cruelty has another reason. Every dark elf in the depths of his soul realizes his ugliness and inferiority, and this understanding fills his heart with fierce hatred, which, in order to somehow feel better, has to be thrown out.

The society of the dark elves, like those of the same dwarves of Chaos, is a slave-owning one. Their ships ply all the oceans just to get a new portion of living goods, which, as in the case of all the same Chaos Dwarfs, is constantly in short supply. It is the slaves who drive the economy of the dark. They work in workshops, cultivate the land in the south, where it is more or less fertile. They lie on altars to become sacrifices to the blood god. They serve the masters and fulfill their every whim.

Well, the dark elves themselves ... The dark elves of warhammer themselves indulge in indolence and debauchery, or kill.

There are six cities in Naggaroth, but each of them is a real stronghold. Powerful and unapproachable.

Dark elf society is rigidly hierarchical, and at the top of it, of course, sat Malekith herself, the Sorcerer King, who ruled his cursed people for several thousand years and never stopped trying to seize the lost Ulthuan by force for a single year.

War machine

The Dark Ones are in many ways similar to the High Elves. So their war machine is painfully similar to the elven one.

Only instead of archers - crossbowmen, instead of beautiful horses - Cold (lizards brought from the jungle of Lustria), instead of wise griffins - nightmarish manticores, and instead of eagles - harpies.

The entire war machine of the dark elves is, as it were, a perverted parody of their eternal enemies - the Supreme. Even the magic of the Drukai was replaced by chaos sorcery, and only women are allowed to engage in sorcery in the world of dark elves. Malekith, who was predicted death by a sorcerer, fears male magicians like fire, and kills them at the first opportunity.

At the same time, it should be understood that, as warriors, the Drukai are no worse than their relatives, and for exactly the same reasons: a long life that allows you to achieve mastery in any business, the most experienced magicians (in this case, sorceresses), iron discipline in the army and no less powerful fighting spirit.

However, at dark elves there is another advantage: continuous wars, both offensive (campaigns for slaves, attacks on the lands of the High Elves, etc.) and defensive (fighting the spawn of Chaos, which the far north regularly splashes out).

Conclusion

So, we have before us another picture of the fall. As bright and as sad as the gnomes. Once again, you can be convinced that excesses do not lead anyone to good, and Chaos is not the force with which you should contact.
