Sashka had been fighting for two months, but for the first time he came into close contact with the Germans. On their way to the evacuation hospital, Sashka and two other wounded received coupons instead of food for the road, according to which food could be obtained only 20 kilometers from the place in Babin. Sashka and Zhora did not reach the place that day, deciding to spend the night in the village. They were allowed to spend the night, but there was nothing to feed the soldiers - the Germans took everything. The next day, when they reached Babin, they saw that there was no sub-point there either. Sashka, Zhora and Lieutenant Volodya, who joined them, went on. He had been writing since the early 1950s, but did not publish his first publication until the age of 49. First story - "Sashka"- published in February 1979 in the magazine "Friendship of Peoples".
