Well, did it work: download and install the Christmas trees? Play around, choose what you like. Now the sparkling Christmas tree will delight you every day.

Good afternoon friends! In 10 days New Year! With which I sincerely congratulate you! I think that each of you at this time already begins to prepare in advance for this fabulous holiday. Some of you have already bought a Christmas tree. And it doesn't matter if the tree is live or artificial. The main thing is that there is a spruce in the house!

The bottom line is that the New Year mood begins to appear in the house! Therefore, people have already started to decorate their Christmas trees, hang garlands, and the same garlands on the windows. More precisely, slightly different garlands specially designed for windows.

But in order for the feeling of the holiday to be complete and sincere, you need not only to decorate your homes, but also clothes, cars, and, a computer desktop! As for the desktop, I think most of you will decide: - What is there to think, download the wallpaper "Christmas tree on your desktop" from Yandex or Google images, and it's in the bag!

But, but in my opinion, this is too primitive. Hunt for something more solemn. So that on this wallpaper this our Christmas tree shimmers with multi-colored lanterns, garlands. Santa Claus appeared, it snowed and so on. These functions can only be performed by a special utility or file.

Christmas tree on the desktop 1920 × 1080

I have prepared for you two similar utilities with falling snow and a daddy, which presents an animated Christmas tree for your monitor in different versions, i.e., quite a few animated Christmas trees.

Christmas tree on your desktop free download

First of all, let's unpack the archive.

One of the folders contains a set of New Year's pictures for the desktop. I advise you to choose the one you like and install it on your computer. These pictures can be changed every day, during the New Year holidays.

Christmas tree on the desktop gadget

Open the next folder and select our Christmas tree. There are quite a few similar trees presented here.

We choose the one that you liked and also install. More precisely, no installation is needed. Click on the desired tree, and it appears on our desktop. As I said, the tree is animated. It can be moved with the mouse to a more suitable place on the table.

For example, in the corner of the table, so that she does not obstruct folders and please the eye! You can add several similar Christmas trees at once, making a composition out of them. In order to remove the tree, click on it with the mouse button and select EXIT.

If you select options - start you can enable and disable snowflakes on the tree, options - garland enable and disable garlands.

Garland on the desktop

To turn on the garland on the desktop, select the xMasNewYear program. It is also presented in our folder. The program needs to be installed. She is Russian-speaking. So, let's install the xMasNewYear program.

When installing the program, you may receive a message:

This message was issued by my ESET Smart Security antivirus firewall. This is not the case, it is just that this program has attachments from Yandex. When installing, we remove the checkmarks from them (all). So, click "Run Anyway".

It turned out beautifully! But, these garlands interfere with opening - closing browser windows (and not only browsers). To enter the settings in Windows 7, click on the shortcut with the right mouse button, select one of the 6 presented garlands. In Windows 10, click on the lower right triangle of the desktop and select the garland.

Then, in the window that appears, select the garland we need.

If the garland prevents you from switching browser pages, you can reduce the size of the browser with the mouse by a centimeter. In this case, the garland will not cause you any inconvenience, but will look great!

To exit, click on the same triangle and click “End Program” or simply restart your computer. After rebooting, the garland will disappear. I recommend installing a garland just before the new year.

Falling snow on the desktop

Also, it is quite beautiful when the effect of falling snow is created right on your desktop. In the folder that you downloaded, there is a utility that creates this effect. I have attached two files with this utility - DesktopSnowOK, for a 32 bit system, and DesktopSnowOK_64 for a 64 bit system.

You do not need to install this utility. Just click on the file and the utility will start.

It has Russian. To enable it, in the menu below, select LNG and in the drop-down menu Russian.

Then, as you can see from the screenshot, we can increase the number of snowflakes, make them more transparent, increase (decrease) the falling speed. Then, you can change the very pattern of our snowflakes.

We can change the algorithm, i.e. change snowfall to blow. On impact, all snowflakes will fly up. If we want to stop our snowfall, we click in the lower menu "Exit" and the snowfall stops.

In general, I liked all these effects. A Christmas tree on your desktop for Windows looks spectacular and stylish. I advise you to choose your favorite Christmas tree, snowfall, garland, and your monitor screen will become a real New Year! I wish you happiness in the new year!

It is better to watch the New Year holidays on an excellent TV (Monitor) with a large screen. A good screen is much nicer to look at. For example, Queeenway Smart 4K HD TV. How do you look great?

Or, choose a TV from the catalog for yourself on Aliexpress. Good luck!

A small free program for adding a cute Christmas tree to the computer screen. The set also includes garlands and almost real snow, which gradually falls asleep on the elements of the Desktop.

New Year is just around the corner! Despite the fact that the weather (at least in our country) is by no means pre-New Year's, the spirit of the approaching holidays is still felt. All showcases already have garlands, balls, rain and, of course, there are Christmas trees everywhere! The latter, perhaps, are the main symbols of the New Year.

Surely you dress up forest beauties every year, who, with their appearance, give you joy during all New Year's holidays.

However, many today spend most of their time at the computer and, accordingly, do not have the opportunity to see their decorated Christmas tree. Therefore, I want to devote today's article to those who lack the feeling of a holiday at the workplace.

Today we will tackle the pre-New Year decoration of the Desktop of our computer. And the first (and even most important) thing we need is, of course, to hoist a Christmas tree on it. Like the real one, it should be beautifully decorated with colorful balls, toys and garlands. We can get such a tree by installing the program on our PC ChristmasTree.

Naturally, there are quite a few similar applications, but ChristmasTree differs from its analogues in a large number of skins, settings, and most importantly, in the presence of a timer that counts down the time until the holidays! The program's closest competitor is another free Animated Christmas Tree for Desktop app:

Comparison of the program ChristmasTree with the analogue Animated Christmas Tree for Desktop

The only thing ChristmasTree lacks is the ability to adjust the transparency of the Christmas tree on the Desktop. However, despite this, it has several ready-made translucent skins (for example, standard).

Installing the ChristmasTree program

To install a virtual tree on the Desktop, you need to run the file from the downloaded archive ChristmasTree17.exe and follow the wizard's prompts, but in fact confirm all the installer's suggestions by clicking the "Next" button;).

Launching and working with the program

Upon completion of the installation, the following translucent Christmas tree will appear on your desktop:

There is a timer under the tree, which by default counts down to Catholic Christmas (December 25). Since we are used to celebrating not Christmas, but New Year, the first thing we will do is reset the timer. To do this, right-click on the context menu of our tree and in the "Due Date" section mark the "New Year" item:

Now you can start setting up the tree itself. To do this, just go to the context menu again and in the "Skins" section select one of the options for the appearance of our Christmas tree (although balls and even New Year's socks are also available here :)):

In the same section, pay your attention to the very bottom item: "Edit skin font ...". With it, you can enter the menu for setting the appearance of the program timer and adjust the type and color of its font.

Setting up the soundtrack

The final touch of setting up ChristmasTree is the choice of soundtrack. The program allows you to play a piece of music of your choice every hour or half an hour (three options are available). To configure it, go to the "Sounds" section in the ChristmasTree context menu:

Here, the menu is divided into two parts: at the top, the frequency of playback of a musical fragment is indicated (every hour / half hour / never), and at the bottom, the sound theme itself is selected.

Installing a garland

On this, the decoration of the Desktop could have been completed, but we will not stop there! What a holiday without sparkling garlands? Well, for example, at least these:

Do you want such a garland to appear at the top of your monitor? Then unzip the Holiday Lights folder from the downloaded archive to your Desktop! Since the program was written back in the days of Windows 95, unpacking to the Desktop is the main requirement. Otherwise, the application will not start and will give an error!

Despite some primitiveness at first glance, Holiday Lights still has a sufficient number of different settings. You can call them by left-clicking on the program icon in the system tray or from its context menu ("Options" item):

Garland customization

So that you do not "get lost" in the numerous English-language settings, I specially noted the key parameters in the screenshot. So:

  1. First of all (number "1" on the screen) select the type of light bulbs. Standard snowflakes seemed to me not a very good choice, so I advise you to set the skin to "Normal". Under the “Bulbs” list, I also advise you to remove the burnout effect (the “Burnt Out” checkbox), then all the “bulbs” will be working.
  2. The next step is to set the "lights" switching mode (section "Flashing Mode" numbered "2"). I can't give a universal advice here. For example, I liked the "Random" (random flicker) and "Alternating" ("running" lights) modes the most.
  3. The third step will be to adjust the colors of the lamps (section "Color" under number "3"). Here I advise you to choose either "Random" or "MultiColor", based on the principle "the more (more colorful;)) the better"!
  4. Now all that remains is to apply all the changes. To do this, press the "Apply" button and admire the result.

Additionally, you can configure the blinking speed of the "lights" (section "Flash Rate"), autoload (checkbox "Startup Options"), etc.

You can also set background music, however, only in MIDI format. To do this, put a file with your favorite melody in the program folder. Then, in the "Music" section, activate the "Play Music" checkbox and select the composition you added in the list below. You can download a large assortment of MIDI, for example,.

Snowfall on the desktop

The final touch in creating a New Year mood for your Desktop will be launching the program from the downloaded archive Snow.exe... This application does not have any settings, but only one window with information about the title and the author-developer.

Thanks to this program, “real” snow will begin to fall on your desktop, which will gradually “cover” all interface elements. To stop the snowfall, simply close the Snow window.

Now you can take a look at the results of our efforts:

To heighten the effect, of course, you can change the background image of the Desktop to something New Year's. You can download beautiful New Year wallpapers, for example.

findings

I hope that after all the simple manipulations I have described above, the New Year mood will still come to you and will not leave you until the end of all the holidays! Happy New Year and Merry Christmas everyone!
