Altruis is a sufferer. World of Warcraft: Kayn Sunfury or Altruist Class Halls Overview

The first emotion that Corina the Silent felt when she was released from captivity was irritation. Because next to them, Kain and Altruis rose to their feet, getting out of niches.

In general, while the captivity lasted, Korina managed to experience many emotions.

Anger at yourself, at your mistake.

Disappointment in choosing the path that led to this.

A melancholy misunderstanding of former sisters.

Dull bewilderment: why are they punished so terribly for a just cause?

Tired humility. After all, there are many years ahead ...

Once Lord Illidan said: only the first thousand years are hard. Then you get used to it. Korina got used to it much faster, in just some miserable few years ... decades? She did not know how long she hung motionless, imprisoned in a crystal, looking at the world through the muddy green, unable to even shift her gaze. Just close my eyes, hooting into the even greater timelessness of my own silence.

It was at least familiar.

And then it was grossly violated.

No, the crystal-shattered Guardians of Korina were grateful. Maybe all is not yet lost and Azeroth can still be saved. Perhaps the Guardians realized that the common goal is already a pledge of loyalty to the Illidari, which holds them much stronger than any chains.

May be...

Maybe these two will finally shut up ?!

Gripping the hilts of the blades tighter, Korina bared her teeth, rushing at the creatures that filled the Casemates. So at least silence reigned, the two behind, too, just fought back harmoniously, following, while she led them along such familiar corridors.

The small detachment gradually grew, new Illidari joined it, the cloaks of the Guardians flashed around. There were also enough disgusting faces of demons and other inhabitants of the cells, to the exit they had to cut through, allowing themselves only rare respites. And with each of them the irritation grew, because as soon as they stopped and took a breath, Kayn and Altruis grappled again.

Corina disliked both.

That a kindred who brought so many troubles there, in Outland, doubting and, in fact, betraying his brothers and sisters. Yes, Korina perfectly understood that not everyone has the strength to restrain the demon, not everyone has the will to go the chosen path ... But it is difficult to achieve great success alone. Even Lord Illidan needed support. And he did not kill former brethren like Altruis did.

As for Kain ... It looks like it was in the blood of all those who once followed Dat'Remar. Blind boundless devotion to the leaders, which cost many lives. Why look far: how the blood elves believed their Qel'Tas and what came of it.

Corina could have expressed her opinion to both, but she was habitually silent. Silent when leaving, barking evil at last, Altruis. Silent when Kain crucified later.

She made a decision, one, the only one true only for her. Perhaps Lord Illidan would not have been pleased with him ... How surely Maeve was not pleased when one of the Guardians left for the Illidari. But then it was the right way. And now Korina knew one thing: the decision whether to believe or not to believe Illidan was made only by herself.

She will not reject anything at once. She will watch. Weigh. Think.

And to stand to the end only in one.

Fight to the end for Azeroth.

Although Altruis had been supportive of his mentor for a long time, he eventually decided that Illidan had become too distracted and obsessed with other problems instead of destroying the demons. Altruis left the Illidari and set out on a journey through Outland, destroying the demons with his own powers. His faithful companion was a Nether dragon named Netrandamus.

As long as the transporters were available to the demons, raiding the camps would have had no effect. Altruis began looking for a way to destroy the Legion's buildings, and while he was devising a plan, the hero was asked to distract enemy engineers and repairmen in order to slow down progress. However, it was soon revealed that the fel iron from which the transporters were created was not easy to destroy.

Altruis knew that all the camps of the Legion were built according to a single plan, approved by the chief planner. Usually, this planner carried a lot of blueprints with him. The Demon Hunter asked the hero to get these blueprints, which would allow him to turn to one of the Sufferer's acquaintances for help.

This acquaintance was a mo "arg named Salsalabim, who once served the Legion. Now he was in the Lower City of Shattrath and, while staying at the bar, tried to drown his sorrow in a glass. The hero sent by Altruis with the blueprints forced Salsalabim to cooperate. Mo "arg, after checking the blueprints, suggested deploying the fel cannons and firing them at the camp structures. To turn the cannon, a key was required, which was kept by the warders.

The Demon Hunter loved the idea that the camps would be destroyed by the Legion's own weapons. He sent the same hero on a mission: find the guards in both camps, take the keys and use them to activate the guns. Thus, the Hate and Fear camps were destroyed to contain the Legion's onslaught in Nagrand.

Training grounds of Karabor

The burning crusade to World of Warcraft.

As the Aldor and Seer forces began preparations for the invasion of the Black Temple, the first target was the training ground of Karabor, where new demon hunters were trained. Both factions knew rumors of a rogue hunter who remained in Nagrand. Altruis hated demons with all his soul and, perhaps, would agree to give necessary information the hero sent by the Aldor and the Seers. However, Altruis stated that he would not reveal anything until he received proof that the hero was fighting against the same enemies as him.

He invited the hero to deal with a demon named Xelet, who was faithful only to himself and fled the ranks of the Legion. The primitive swamp creatures of Zangarmarsh worshiped Xeleth as a deity. When Draenor nearly died, the demon fell asleep under the waters of Swampfire Lake. He could be awakened by driving a strong silver spear near the portal by the lake. When the hero summoned Xeleth, he mentioned that he still has a spear scar on his body. The hero who returned victorious was informed by Altruis that he had once fought this demon himself.

The Sufferer demanded that the hero confirm that he is not an ally of Illidan. Although Altruis still respected him and was grateful for his becoming a demon hunter, Illidan changed - his soul was consumed by a lust for power, and his mind was darkened by defeat. The Master became the one Altruis vowed to destroy, and the Illidari were no less an abomination than the demons of the Burning Legion. On a mission from the Sufferer, the hero traveled to the Illidari Outpost in the Valley Phantom Moon and killed Lieutenant Lothros.

Of course, the main enemy of Altruis was the Legion, now and then seducing the souls of mortals. The hero needed to prove that he was not on the side of the demons. Altruis asked to destroy a demoness named Satal, who at one time eluded him due to her incorporeality. The hero arrived at the blacksmithing base of Gehenna, where the sinister priestesses worshiped Satal. The shed blood of one of the priestesses forced Satal to take material form for the sake of retribution, and the hero managed to deal with her at that moment. Altruis acknowledged that the hero's soul was not corrupted by the Legion.

Varedis

Finally Altruis told the story of the one who led the Karabor training ground, Varedis. This blood elf was one of the first members of his people to be given the opportunity to become demon hunters by Illidan. At first there were five blood elves, and they had to go through incredibly difficult tests. Three candidates died, another went mad. Only Varedis remained, who not only survived the tests, but also demonstrated unprecedented control over his newfound power.

Illidan saw great potential in Varedis and got three of his best students to train him. In just a year, Varedis surpassed all three and realized that the mentors could no longer teach him anything else. He made his way into the ranks of the Shadow Council and learned about an artifact called the Book of Fel Names. He read the book and carefully memorized all the information that was indicated in it. It was believed that knowing a demon's true name conferred some control over the bearer of the name, and the Book of Fel Names contained the names of all demons that ever existed. By memorizing the names, Varedis gained access to a source of energy comparable to the Ghul Dan skull used by Illidan. When Varedis finally returned to the Black Temple, Illidan ordered him to train new demon hunters. Three former mentors of Varedis assisted him on this mission.

The hero expressed a desire to stop Varedis and his followers, but Altruis cooled his ardor - for the battle with Varedis it was necessary to find the very artifact that gave him power. It was rumored that the owner of the Book of Fel Names was a warlock named Blackheart the Instigator, who was hiding in the Dark Labyrinth in Auchindoun. The hero was able to obtain the artifact and delivered it to Altruis. The Demon Hunter shuddered, sensing the book's power from afar. He was almost tempted by the desire to maintain this unprecedented power, but was able to restrain himself. The sufferer told the hero that the book must be destroyed at the moment when Varedis will use his reincarnation so that he will lose his powers.

Legion

Despite the help provided by Altruis, after the fall of Illidan, the Guardians captured him along with the rest of the demon hunters. He found himself in the Vault of the Wardens, where he slept for several years until another invasion of the Burning Legion began. Maiev Shadowsong awakened Altruis and the other Illidari to grant them freedom in exchange for helping destroy the demons.

Although Altruis was reunited with his brethren, he still believed that Illidan's actions were wrong. Upon his release, he met with Kayn Sunfury, one of Illidan's most trusted aides, who believed Altruis was a traitor who killed many demon hunters. Kain refused to forgive Altruis, and Altruis refused to repent of his actions. The new Illidari leader, chosen in Illidan's absence, had to choose one of them as his closest lieutenant.

You may have noticed that there is some confusion in the Alliance and Horde forces right now - a mess in the ranks of the leadership. In World of Warcraft: Legion, you must take charge and find a way to rally your people against the demons that threaten all life on Azeroth. To save the world from destruction, you will travel to the Broken Isles. Here you have to unite with other representatives of your class (regardless of their faction) and oppose the Burning Legion.

Each class needs a home: a hideout where heroes can find support, and a military meeting room where battle plans can be drawn up. In Legion, this home will be your stronghold, a class-specific stronghold where the heroes of the world of Warcraft will join you to fend off the Burning Legion's invasion of the Broken Isles.

Blizzard Official Quote ()

Let's travel through Mardum with a young demon hunter and discover what it means to be a warrior of Illidan. (Spoiler alert!)

The shattered abyss

In front of me, like a huge grinning mouth, Mardum is spread. The fel currents here flow freely like rivers. They both attract and repel at the same time. I was not the only one who set out on a journey through these desolate lands. There are others like me: followers of the Lord Illidan, who teaches us that in order to defeat the Burning Legion, we must sacrifice ... everything.

Eons ago, Sargeras created Mardum to keep demons captive here. He also created a Sargerite Key to isolate them from other worlds.

But when the fallen titan decided to destroy everything with his flame, he shattered Mardum, scattering its fragments across the Twisting Nether. This is how the Burning Legion was born.

Sargeras hid his key in this part of Mardum. This is a kind of a master key that opens the way to any of the worlds of the Legion. With the key, Lord Illidan is about to destroy the Legion.

We have two tasks: destroy the demons in their own citadel and find the sargerite key.

Way through Mardum

As I walk this fel-torn land, I slay every demon in my sight. I know I was born for this. I try to tread carefully to conserve strength and avoid serious injury, but I'm not sure if this is necessary. I consume the souls of demons - they support me and give me the strength to kill again and again. As Lord Illidan says, we are turning the power of the demons against them.

By opening the gates of the Legion, we can summon Ashtongues, Naga and Shivarras to our aid. Every gate needs a sacrifice - this is the price to be paid for winning our war.

Warlord Gaardun arrived first and brought with him the gift of Illidan - the fel saber, a powerful beast that can survive in this hostile world. He will serve me well in battle.

Everything here is saturated with fel energy. Corruption is everywhere.

Obstacle in the way

Several Illidari were held captive by the Legion. To continue the offensive, we will need all our soldiers. I need to act quickly: get the keys from the jailers and free my brethren, and then they will again join our ranks.

On Molten Shore, Jace Darkweaver asks me to track the leaders of the Legion. Dreadguard Commander Beliash and Brood Queen Tyranna have conspired to prevent our progress into the volcano where the key is kept.

Urgency

Lady S'theno of the Serpent Rings reported that the situation in the Black Temple is getting tense. We need to find the Sargerite Key as soon as possible so that we can help them in time.

Run, demon hunter!

At our stronghold, we decide whether to storm the fortress of the arachnid demons, where the Queen of the Pack Tyranna is hiding.

The Legion Annihilators begin bombing, and Jace's defense totems are threatened. It's time to disable the destroyers.

Our fighters move very quickly, and soon the destroyers are overwhelmed by the destructive force turned against them. I made a mistake and got too close to the first opponent, but quickly learned my lesson and stayed away from the next one.

From time to time I meet brothers who have fallen into the net of hellish crawlers. They are everywhere. I free the Illidari — it doesn’t take long — and they again engage in a battle that seems never to end.

Enlightenment through desecration

In the Unclean Orphanage, a demon mother is said to hold a tome of fel secrets. If we can get it, then we will have at our disposal even more power that will help us in the fight against hordes of demons. Defeating the demon mother will not be easy, but the same can be said for every demon. When we pick up the tome, it will weaken her somewhat.

Pack Queen Tyranna didn't like my stealing the Legion's secrets at all. Her screams make it clear to what despair she is plunged. Meanwhile, our troops are approaching the place where the key is kept.

At the Illidari stronghold, I read the tome and learn more about the power I can touch - as can anyone who follows the path of the Illidari. Or better to say "one of the possible paths" ... Before me lie two paths: one of them - the path of extermination, which I followed from the very beginning of my journey through Mardum. If I continue to follow it, the secrets of metamorphosis and demonic presence will be revealed to me. Another path is the path of revenge, which will also help me comprehend metamorphosis, as well as the ability "Fel Blood". In addition, my piercing gaze will become more “sharp” ... demonic thorns will be at my disposal.

I have chosen the path of extermination, but if I wish, I can master the wisdom of the path of revenge later. Not everyone will be able to cope with the Filth, so we share with each other the experience of coming into contact with it - this is a bowl of bittersweet wine of personal experiences.

Spreading wings

I'm ready to spread my wings - well, or let the felbat do it, in which I will go to fight the Queen of the Pack Tyranna.

Tyranne has a couple of tricks in store, but the Illidari are in no way inferior in this art. I will release mine new strengththat I stole from the demons I met on my way to this cursed place. Once she is defeated, we will take the Sargerite Key.

Having obtained the key, we can open a portal to the Black Temple, but then the matter takes an unexpected tragic turn ...

Years later

Things did not go as we expected: we fell into the hands of the guardian Maiev Shadowsong and languished in her casemates for years. But now, at the hour when the fate of Azeroth is being decided, she has asked us to help us fight the Burning Legion.

We, along with Altruis and Kaine, were freed from prison and now we are breaking through the levels of the Casemates of the Guardians, freeing other Illidari. It is one thing to fight side by side with fellows, but to be on the same side with the guards after such a long imprisonment, it is at least unusual ...

Tomb of the Penitent

Gul'dan found his way to where the guards kept Illidan's body. Now Illidan - even dead - is in the hands of the Legion, and this does not bode well for us.

Maiev opens the entrance to the tomb, and to our great surprise, together with Gul'dan, we find there the traitor Cordana Felsong. They flee from us, and we have to fight with two of their minions. Maiev told us that we must survive, find our way to freedom, and find Archmage Khadgar. This was the last thing we heard from her.

Having defeated Gul'dan's minions, we make our way to the elevator and meet other Illidari fighting demons. Kayn and Altruis were far ahead, but Jace Darkweaver had a felbat with him, and we continued on together.

Demon block alarm

The Illidari weren't the only ones held captive here. There were other prisoners who posed a serious danger to us. We needed to somehow contain them. Here we go through the Casemate of Ice, the Casemate of the Law and the Casemate of Mirrors, in order to again imprison the creatures that have escaped into will. To get out of here, we need to get to the Hall of Justice.

Choice

Altruis and Kayn don't get along with each other, so I need to make a choice who I am with. The Well of Justice will help clear my mind - in its depths I will find the answer.

I made a decision, and now I have to fight with Bastillax, take his power and finally find freedom.

We find Bastillax in the Halls of Night, surrounded by hordes of demons - and we do our duty of the Illidari, breaking through to him.

He turns the very shadow against us, but we stand to the end. Victory is ours! The power of Bastillax goes to me. It remains only to break free.

There, in the wild, Archmage Khadgar is already waiting for us. He seemed to know we were coming. Khadgar asks for our help in saving Azeroth. Of course we will help. We sacrificed everything for this. This is our mission ... my mission.

Azeroth awaits, and with it, freedom. We're going to Stormwind. I march towards my goal and the Burning Legion will be defeated. I hope they will be ready.

, fel orcs and demons of various kinds. In addition, there were groups that were considered allies of the Illidari, although they did not belong to that faction. The Illidari even conducted operations in Azeroth, but most of them worked in Outland. At the moment of the highest strength of the army, there were very few places left throughout the entire divided world where the activity of the Illidari or their allies was not noticed.

When the Alliance and Horde entered Outland through the Dark Portal, re-opened by the servants of the Burning Legion, the Illidari became one of their main foes. Unbeknownst to the two factions, Illidan and the Demon Hunters took the most direct part in the early battles against the Demons and saved the Alliance and Horde forces from defeat. But they had reason to regard Illidan's servants with suspicion and hatred: in virtually every area of \u200b\u200bOutland, there were innocents who had suffered from the Illidari in one way or another. Although Illidan's true goal was to crush the Burning Legion, he used methods that looked dubious to that end, including creating fel orcs, summoning demons, collecting ancient relics, and invading Auchindoun.

Invasion of Mardum

Legion to World of Warcraft.

Following Illidan's orders, Demon Hunters invaded Mardum just as the Alliance, Horde, and Shattrath siege of the Black Temple began in Outland. They needed to obtain a Sargerite Key, which would not only become a guarantee of victory over the Legion, but also was the only way to leave this world. The vanguard had already entered the battle with the Legion, and Kayn Sunfury offered to join him to frighten the demons. Clashes took place on Despair Ridge, and the Demon Hunters, having destroyed their opponents, exchanged the Legion's banner for their own.

The three demon hunters set out in search of the key while the others stayed behind to open the three pairs of gates to the Burning Legion. This would allow the Illidari troops remaining in the Black Temple to arrive here. Souls were needed to activate the gate, and enough were gathered to summon a squad of Ashtongues. At the head of the party, which also brought gifts from Illidan, was the warlord Gaardun, who promised to help take up positions on the volcano.

On the Molten Shore, where demons called jailers were located, some of the demon hunters were captured, and additional keys had to be found to free them. It took an extra soul to open the gate that allowed the Serpent Rings naga to be summoned, and the broken mystic agreed to sacrifice himself. As the gates opened, the naga led by Lady S "Teno arrived on Mardum. Before leaving Molten Shore, the demon hunters slaughtered Inquisitor Vile and drew power from his corpse. This granted them the ability to use piercing gaze. Jace Darkweaver used the crucible of the Nether. spy on the Legion leaders and find out what they are up to. It turns out that the eredar have already begun to call in troops to attack the demon hunters from the rear and prevent them from reaching the volcano. The local leader is the queen of the pack Tyranna, a mysterious demon whose appearance resembles a spider.

Mardum, after its split, became one of the strongholds of the Burning Legion

At the Headquarters of the Command there was the last gate, which made it possible to summon the Shivarr from the Black Temple. While it is a great risk to call them here, despite their previous service to the Burning Legion, they were still some of Illidan's strongest allies. But Queen Tyranna did something with the gates, and the souls of several mo "args were not enough to open them. The demon hunter had to be sacrificed, because his soul was able to open the gates. The Shivarra, led by the supreme mother Malice, arrived in Mardum. Here, at the Command Headquarters, a battle with Beliash took place, and by destroying him, the demon hunters gained the ability to absorb magic.

In Hell's Peak, the Legion used annihilators - huge firing weapons - but the Illidari broke through them and created their stronghold. Kain announced that it was necessary to deal with the demonic forces on the volcano before deciding to storm the Felhammer, the flagship of the Queen of the Pack. The main targets were the Spider Hold, the Reactor of Souls, and the Forge of Corruption. The Ashtongues, Nagas, and Shivarra attacked them.

Jace the Darkweaver claimed that for some time he felt the presence of demons somewhere above the stronghold. Together with a detachment of fighters, he went to a cave in the southeast to check it. Although nothing was found there, Jace still believed that something was wrong here. After using the ghostly vision, it was revealed that a detachment of demons was hiding behind a rubble in the cave. Demon hunters rushed in and destroyed the demons along with their leader, the fel lord Khaz, absorbing his power.

The Illidari launched an attack and tried to break the destroyers. In the Reactor of Souls, they confronted Count Vile and defeated him by releasing a stream of souls from the well. Several naga were captured by General Volroth, but the demon hunters dealt with him and freed the captives. They learned from one of the demons that a demon mother was hiding in a volcano, who was rewriting the secrets of the Legion. Korvas Bloodthorn went there to track down the demon and obtain secret information. The mother of demons was called Fruit, and she performed the unholy rituals of the Legion, after which she wrote everything down in her book. Demon hunters destroyed her and obtained a tome of fel secrets.

Together, the Illidari destroyed the destroyer at the Forge of Corruption. Matron Mother Malice, along with the demon hunters, killed the huge overseer Brutarg. The battle continued in the Cursed Fortress, shrouded in cobwebs and filled with spiders. King Voras, a companion of Tyranna, was hiding here, and the demon hunters dealt with him. Tyranna promised to avenge the murder of her lover. The Illidari then destroyed the last Legion destroyer. Back at camp, the Demon Hunters used the Tome of Fel Secrets and became even stronger. Mannetrel Dark Star was unable to contain such a huge power and died.

The invasion of the Fel Hammer has begun, and the demon hunters have traveled there in felbat. Together, they attacked the queen of the pack, Tyranna, and, after killing her, took the Sargerite Key. They gathered at the lower level of the ship and used the key to return to the Black Temple. Demon hunters gathered to help Lord Illidan drive back the invaders from Azeroth and Shattrath, but found that the siege had already ended with the defeat of the Illidari. The guards, led by Maiev Shadowsong, captured them and imprisoned them in cells located in the Casemates.

Maiev Shadowsong awakened the demon hunter, claiming that they could not escape the Vault of the Wardens alone. The first step was to free Altruis the Sufferer and Kayn Sunfury. Kayn was surprised to see that Altruis was also awakened, since he was an enemy of Illidan. Altruis replied that he still believed in the Demon Hunter cause, but refused to blindly obey anyone, including Illidan. They both knew that Maiev could only free them for one reason - if the Legion returned.

In the Illidari block, they began to rebuild their strength, absorbing the souls of slain demons that invaded the Casemates, and freeing their allies. They closed the portals through which the demons passed and gathered next to Maiev. She stated that Gul "Dan and the demons would not have been able to get here if one of the Guardians had not betrayed their own. The traitor was Cordana Felsong, who, together with Gul" Dan, managed to steal Illidan's body and hide in the portal. Maiev jumped into the portal after them as the hunters battled the giant summoned demons. Having won, they absorbed their power and flew on the felbats to the upper level of the Casemates.

They ended up in a block where the Guardians captured the demons. This place was also engulfed in chaos due to the invasion. In the Casemate of Mirrors, they encountered a demon named The Beholder, protected by a barrier that was destroyed by the focusing of the mirrors. In the Casemate of the Law lurked a formidable demon Immolanth, full of the purest concentrated fel energy. Defeating him allowed the demon hunters to gain new powers. In the Casemate of Ice, a huge elemental Vul "Kahn, which was too strong, was captured. The hunters activated the security system to freeze him.

Having risen to the upper level, the hunters found themselves in a hall that was called the Court of the Guardians. The conflict between Kain and Altruis reached its limits, and they began to fight each other. The Demon Hunter, who was considered the new leader, chose one of them as his closest assistant to end the wrangling. For the exit from the Casemates, the last obstacle remained - the leader of the demons Bastillax. The hunters destroyed him in the Halls of Night and took his power. They emerged from the Casemates and met with Archmage Khadgar, who announced that Azeroth needed their help. The Demon Hunters realized that cooperation was the only way to save the world from invasion, and traveled to Dalaran with Khadgar, where he promised to give further instructions.

Return to Mardum

In Dalaran, demon hunters have gathered at Krasus' site, located on the eastern edge of the city. After awaiting their leader, who had assumed this position in Illidan's absence, they realized that stronger weapons would be needed to fight the Burning Legion. When the commander returned with the artifact, the demon hunters informed him that they had set up camp near Krasus' Landing to better monitor the Legion's movements. The camp could be reached by normal gliding on the wings by jumping off Dalaran. Jace Darkweaver reports that he has been able to contact the Illidari forces on Mardum. They guarded the Fel Hammer through the years of the Demon Hunters' absence, and they have held it ever since.
