I here celebrated the first spring day by finally reaching the Nikolo-Radovitsky monastery. Before the revolution, it was a rich, very popular monastery, known from the 15th century. Pilgrims converged there tens of kilometers away. Yesenin was among them, and casually mentioned the monastery in "Anna Snegina" ..
In the morning, when the alarm went off, I had great doubts about whether it was worth rushing somewhere after a sleepless week, instead of getting enough sleep. Looking out the window, I only strengthened my doubts: during the night the yard was covered with fresh snow, which, it seemed, did not even think to melt. The last dirty trick that happened to me that day was also not slow to wait: the front fender bought the day before fell off already at the stage of loading the bike into the elevator.
It's amazing what a freak could think of attaching something to a bike with plastic parts!
Accordingly, all the way I was constantly washing myself with sour snow and other joys that flew from under the front wheel.
This, however, was the end of my misadventures. At 8-20 I departed from the Kazansky railway station to the Fruktovaya station, and from there at a little over 11 I drove to the ferry across the Oka. For me it was also exotic: before, it seems, I had never used the ferry.
The ferry crossing in Beloomut has two forms. The first one is a large "cargo" pontoon, which rarely runs and for a certain fee transports cars across the Oka. In the photo above, car lovers awaiting the arrival of the ferry.
UPD Now, two years later, the vigilant comrades from White Outsk are persistently correcting me that the ferry is actually free. And it pleases. And this is very important for comrades.
Pedestrians are transported to the so-called. "trough", which is pushed by a small boat. But it's free. While waiting for a "trough", I took from the local conversations that the crossing here is not as capital as in Lovtsy upstream, although Beloomut is a city, and these same Lovtsy, according to the map, are a small village. Nevertheless, the local ferry operates, according to locals, with greater consistency. In addition, based on the authentic pronunciation of the word "Catchers", I came to the conclusion that this name did not come from the verb "to catch", but from the name of a female ram. Apparently, these Catchers began not as a fishing village, but as a cattle-breeding aul.
Finally, a "trough" came from the Beloomutsky coast.
Ferry rules:

The trough moored to a metal ladder sloping into the water (according to the masters, there were also railings on the ladder, but during the winter someone cut them down and snatched them away), and the passengers began to load onto the ferry.
Beloomut pleasantly surprised me. The fact is that I am very depressed by the appearance of typical panel blocks. If in Moscow I have already resigned myself to this, then leaving it, you expect to see something less gray and dreary. So: Beloomut, according to my feelings, is three-quarters wooden and nine-tenths one-two-story (not counting the bell towers). Very nice, albeit shabby, wooden houses with attics and balconies on the main street, several churches, in short, if you want to see how a provincial town should look, you should go there. It's a pity I didn't shoot anything ..

In fact, this is not a parting word to pedestrians, but a wish to travelers at the exit from Beloomut. Soon after leaving the city, I turned onto the road leading to Radovitsy. Almost all the time she walks among the pine forests, passing through several small villages, in which the few inhabitants greeted me with pleasure. Finally, I got to Radovice. It is a fairly large village, with a well-visible trace of its former wealth.
Tuning:
Sovetskaya Street stretches across the village and leads to the monastery. So, the monastery, known since the 15th century, is an architectural monument of federal significance, in the 70s - a cowshed.
So it was once, now everything is somewhat different. Well, I even consider it superfluous to warn that after the Nazis in Peterhof there is hardly less left. All are not children, and so no one doubts our abilities ..
This is a two-story building, which housed the brotherly cells, and in the basement there was a bakery where prosphora were baked. In the background is the bell tower of the gate church of the Apostles Peter and Paul. Construction late XVIII century. Inside the fraternal body of drops, every now and then the sound of crumbling pieces of brick.

The bell tower once had 13 bells and, apparently, a clock. At least the blackened metal square on the top tier seems to me to be the remains of a dial.
On the other side of the bell tower is the abbot's building built in 1805. Now it is surrounded by forests, traces of restoration attempts are visible. All the monastic brethren, which seem to number only a few people, live on the territory of the monastery in a small trailer.
Passing through the gate under the bell tower, we find ourselves on the main territory of the monastery. Directly in front of us is the main stone church of the monastery - apparently, Nikolsky. Alas, everything was done to make this building no longer resemble a church, so now only the first floor has survived, and it is in a very deplorable state, with traces of a fire inside and cracks in the outer walls. I didn't shoot it.
There is also such a well. In the background, one of the corner towers is visible - apparently, this is a 17th century building; before, it seems that this very tower housed a church in the name of the saints and righteous Godfather Joachim and Anna. Here.
Initially, in the 15th century, the monastery was located on an island in the middle of Lake Saint - where the miraculous image of St. Nicholas. When there was not enough space on the island, the monks moved to the mainland, and the wooden St. Nicholas Church remained in the same place, which was overlaid with bricks in 1879. A bridge was thrown from the monastery to the island, from which the remains of oak piles are now preserved. And on the site of the temple there is now a cross clearly visible from the road, and that's it.
On this I finished my acquaintance with the monastery and went to Yegoryevsk. On the way, in many villages, churches were even visible from the road. varying degrees abandonment, however, quite common, so I did not turn to them. The closer you get to Yegoryevsk, the more cars are on the road, and although this cannot be called any kind of busy traffic, it still cannot be compared with the 30 kilometers of the road from Beloomut to Radovitsy. There three cars overtook me and the same number drove towards me.
In the suburb of Yegoryevsk, the former village of Berezhki, I watched the pretentious BEREZHKI-HALL HOTEL, charming in its insanity. Shortly before dark, I arrived at the Yegoryevsky station. In total, the bike computer turned out to be 97 kilometers. Happy with the first day of spring.
