Translation table exam social studies. Primary and test (secondary) USE scores: what is the difference? How do USE scores affect college admissions?

scaling - This is the procedure for converting primary scores into test scores.

  • First, the primary score is set, this is the sum of points for all correctly completed tasks.
  • The primary score is converted into a test (secondary) score, which is taken into account when entering a university.

Below is a scale for translating the primary scores of the profile USE in mathematics in 2019:

  • The primary score obtained is converted into a test score. Each task of the test part "costs" 1 point. Writing tasks - from 2 to 4 points
  • To pass the threshold for the profile USE, you need to solve at least 6 tasks, that is, score 6 primary or 27 test points.

Moreover, you can see that the first part is very "expensive" in terms of points, for one task of the first part you can get 1 raw point, which is recoded into 5 or 6 test points!

  • If you solve all the problems of the first part correctly, you can type 62 points.
  • If you solve the entire first part, numbers 13, 15 and 17 (most often these numbers are solved by those who have a solid “5” at school), then you can dial 80 points.

Download the USE CHECKLIST in Mathematics for free! Preparation algorithm, literature, useful links, USE score scale.

  • Further points can be taken on geometry (No. 14, 16), parameters (No. 18) or number theory (No. 19). If you decided, for example, No. 14, took a couple of points for No. 19, having decided a) and b) - this is already 88 points.
  • So to dial above 80 points need to be able to solve problems on at least one of these topics or several:

- options,

— planimetry,

- stereometry,

For example, you solved 12 problems, but made a mistake in one, as a result you get 11 primary and 56 test points, and could get 62 points (!), if they had not made a mistake in some number, it could have even been the simplest number 1. If you make a mistake again, you will get 50 points for the first part. A score for the simplest task No. 1 "weighs" as much as one point for complex planimetry No. 16, the computer does not care where you scored it. The main strategy is to be attentive in the first part.

USE Examination Plan in Mathematics

The work is designed for 3 hours 55 minutes. If you plan to complete tasks of a high level of complexity under numbers 18-19, then the first part No. 1-12 should take you no more than 30 minutes.

Good luck to everyone on the exam!

The system for evaluating USE results is not easy: instead of the usual "fours" and "fives", you will encounter primary and test scores. What is the primary and test score is easy to understand. It is much more difficult to figure out exactly how the primary scores are converted into test scores.

Primary and test USE score: definitions

Primary score- this is preliminary USE score. The primary score is obtained by summing the grades for correctly completed tasks. For example, a correctly completed task of Part A or Part B is worth 1 point, Part C - up to 6 points. The maximum number of primary points for all tasks of control measuring materials (CMM) in different subjects ranges from 39 to 80 points.

Test score- this is final USE score. It is obtained from the primary using a special table. Each year, each subject has its own special table.

Example: in 2013, a graduate received a primary score of 35 on the exam in history. According to the table, his test score will be 58 / And his deskmate, passing the same story, received one primary score more - 36. His test score on the table will already be 60.

The number of test scores to be strived for must be above the minimum set for this subject. But, as a rule, graduates who are going to receive higher education know in advance how many test scores they need to score to enter the university for the chosen specialty, since universities publish this information.

Converting primary scores to test scores

As we have already said, there are tables for converting primary scores into test scores. The USE assessment system is such that even knowing your primary score, a graduate will not be able to accurately determine his test score on his own, since new tables are compiled every year. It takes 6-8 days to convert primary points into test points.

However, in fairness, it is worth noting that the tables of different years do not differ very much: for some subjects, the number of test scores remains the same, for some it changes by 2-3.

On this page you will find a scale for converting exam scores into grades in all subjects. It is also possible to find out when the results of the exam will be known. In addition, you may be interested in who checks the exam forms and how.

USE score conversion formula

The scale for converting primary USE scores into test scores is shown in the table. YOU can also calculate your score using the formula below.

where t is the USE test score on a 100-point system that goes into the USE certificate, 0 is the primary score of the person who passed the USE, 0 min is the score corresponding to one primary score, 0max is the score corresponding to the primary score, one less than the maximum possible. Round the result to an integer. Zero primary score corresponds to 0 points for the USE, and the maximum primary score corresponds to 100 points for the USE.

Decree of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor) No. 1271-08 dated 06/05/2007 "On establishing a scale for converting points into grades when conducting a unified state exam in the Russian language in 2007"

The 2018-2019 academic year will be the graduation year for many Russian schoolchildren who are already concerned about successfully passing the Unified State Exam and successfully entering a good university.

We will tell you how exam papers are checked in various subjects, how the scale for converting USE scores into grades works, and what innovations can be expected in 2019.

Principles for evaluating the work of the USE 2019

Over the past few years, the USE system in a number of subjects has undergone significant changes and has been brought to the optimal (according to the organizers) format, which allows to fully assess the amount of knowledge of a graduate in a particular subject.

No fundamental changes are expected in 2018-2019, and we can say with confidence that the same principles will be applied to evaluate the work of graduates as in 2017-2018:

  1. automated verification of forms;
  2. involvement of experts in checking tasks with detailed answers.

How does the computer evaluate?

The first part of the examination paper involves a short answer to the questions posed, which the USE participant must enter in a special answer form.

Important! Before starting the work, be sure to read the rules for filling out the form, as an incorrectly executed work will not pass an automated check.

It is quite difficult to challenge the result of a computer check. If the work was not counted due to the fault of the participant who incorrectly filled out the form, the result is equated to unsatisfactory.

How do experts evaluate?

In many subjects, in addition to the test part, there are tasks that require a full detailed answer. Since it is impossible to automate the process of checking such answers, experts are involved in the verification - experienced teachers with a long work experience.

When checking the exam, the teacher does not know (and even with a strong desire cannot find out) whose work lies in front of him and in which city (region) it was written. Verification is carried out on the basis of uniform assessment criteria developed specifically for each subject. Each work is checked by two experts. If the experts agree, the assessment is put on the form, but if independent appraisers disagree, then a third expert is involved in the verification, whose opinion will be decisive.

That is why it is important to write legibly and accurately so that there is no ambiguous interpretation of words and phrases.

Primary and test scores

Based on the results of the test, the USE participant is awarded a certain number of primary points, which are then transferred to text (points for the entire test). In different subjects, a different maximum of primary points is provided, depending on the number of tasks. But after bringing the result according to the corresponding table, the USE participant receives the final test score, which is the official result of his final tests (maximum 100 points).

So, in order to pass the exam, it is enough to score the established minimum threshold for the initial score:

Focusing on these numbers, you can accurately understand that the exam has been passed. But what kind of assessment? The online scale of 2018 will help you with this, designed specifically for converting primary USE scores into test ones, which will also be relevant for the results of 2019. A handy calculator can be found on the website 4ege.ru.

Announcement of official results

Graduates are always concerned about the question - how quickly can you find out what result was obtained when passing and what will be the scale for converting points scored on the exam into traditional grades in 2019.

Teachers are often taken to reassure students by working through the tasks of the USE tickets immediately after the exam and evaluating the quality of the work done by the pupils and the amount of primary points scored. Official results must be expected for 8-14 days, according to the established regulations for the USE-2019. On average, the organizers approve the following inspection schedules:

  • 3 days to check the work;
  • 5-6 days for information processing at the federal level;
  • 1 working day to approve the results of the SEC;
  • 3 days to post results online and transfer data to educational institutions.

In the event of unforeseen situations and technical problems, these terms may be revised.

You can find out the owl score:

  • directly at your school;
  • on the check.ege.edu.ru portal;
  • on the gosuslugi.ru website.

Converting points to grade

Since 2009, the results of the USE have not been included in the graduate certificate. Therefore, today there is no official state system for translating the USE result into an assessment on a school 5-point scale. As part of the introductory campaign, the test score scored in the exam is always summed up and taken into account. But, many students are still interested to know how they passed the exam - 3 or 4, 4 or 5. For this, there is a special table that details the correspondence for each of the 100 points for each of the subjects.

Using such a table is quite inconvenient. It is much easier to find out how you passed the Russian language, mathematics or history using the 4ege.ru online calculator, which also contains the USE score conversion scale, which is relevant for 2019 graduates.

Having received the result of the exam, it is worth deciding on the university as soon as possible, comparing your capabilities with the real competition for the specialties of interest. Thus, the practice of past years shows that in some cases it is difficult to get into the most popular areas in the capital's universities even with high scores, because not only the winners of the 100-point USE results, but also the winners of the largest Olympiads of the 2018-2019 academic year will compete for places.
