INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Pacers wont know until Saturday night whether point guard George Hill will start in Game 6 against New York. Günstig Air Max Schweiz . Hill participated in the teams morning shootaround, which is part of the process of passing his concussion test. But doctors had not yet cleared Hill to play. "He just did some work today. He looked fine, but he has to do more tests this afternoon," coach Frank Vogel said. "Theres a long list of things thats part of the NBAs protocol. Hes in the middle of that process. Hes not ruled out, not cleared to play. Hes a game-time decision." Vogel said he was preparing to play without Hill. Hill scored 26 points Tuesday night in Game 4 after a first-quarter collision with Knicks centre Tyson Chandler. Two days later, after the teams shootaround, Hill was still complaining of headaches. Team doctors then diagnosed him with a concussion, forcing him to sit out Game 5. His replacement, D.J. Augustin, played nearly 39 minutes and had no assists as the Pacers lost 85-75. The win allowed New York to climb back within 3-2 in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinals. Indiana gets a second chance to close out the series Saturday at home, where they are 5-0 in the post-season and have won all five games by double digits. Vogel has not said who will start Saturday if Hill does not play. "We prepare for guys to be out. D.J. Augustin, Ben Hansbrough. Lance (Stephenson) understands that he has to play some (point guard)," Vogel said. "Theyve prepared for that all year. . Mentally for those guys, knowing might help them a little bit." The Knicks arent sure what to expect, either. Coach Mike Woodson told reporters Friday that his team was preparing as if Hill would play. At Saturdays shootaround, Woodson explained he wasnt sure what to expect, though the Knicks couldnt let that affect them in Game 6. "It doesnt matter who plays for them. Weve still got to do what we do. Its about what we do at this particular time," Woodson said. The NBAs protocol states that any player diagnosed with a concussion must be held out of all activities until he is symptom-free at rest and team doctors see no "appreciable" difference between the players baseline test conducted before the season and the test after the injury. Then the player must prove he is symptom-free as the level of exertion increases. Team doctors can determine whether the player passes, a decision that must be discussed with Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher, the NBAs director of the concussion program. The league has not established a timetable for how long players must sit out before returning because each injury is different. Sometimes, the recovery time is quick. Kobe Bryant, for instance, did not miss a game after breaking his nose and being diagnosed with a concussion in February 2012. "I know back in the day I took some blows and you couldve easily called it concussions. But hell, you just played," Woodson said. "Thats the policy and I think its a good policy because, again, this is still a basketball game and youve got to deal with your health. Thats more important." Leaving one looming question: Will the decision about Hill make a difference in this series? "Finding out literally an hour or two hours before the game (Thursday) is a rough spot to put a guy in. For all of us, really," Pacers forward David West said. "We had to change some of the things we were accustomed to doing, take some of Georges stuff out of the package. But again, were prepared. Had a good day yesterday, a good day today. Our focus is where it needs to be." Air Max Schweiz . Jeff Green scored 13 points and Kris Humphries 12 for the Celtics, who nearly blew an 18-point, second-half lead. Garnett was dealt -- along with Paul Pierce -- to Brooklyn during the off-season. Nike Air Max Schweiz Outlet . On a day filled mostly with qualifying matches, fifth-seeded Marcel Granollers of Spain also entered the second with a 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 win over Aljaz Bedene of Slovenia, while Guido Pella of Argentina defeated Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain 7-6 (6), 6-4 to advance. SEATTLE -- Aaron Menzies scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds Monday night to help Seattle hold off Arkansas-Pine Bluff for a 63-58 win.Scott Ulaneo and Zach Moore added 12 points apiece for Seattle (5-5), which had to scramble when Arkansas-Pine Bluff erased an eight-point deficit with a 13-2 run that gave the Golden Lions their first lead of the second half, 51-48, with just under six minutes to play.Moore put Seattle back on top, 53-51, with a 3-pointer with 3:09 leftt but UAPB slipped past the Redhawks one more time with a 5-1 spurt capped by two Jaquan Lynch free throws. Nike Schuhe Schweiz. Menzies then tied it at 58-all with a dunk with under a minute left and Seattle clinched it with free throws from there.UAPB (1-9), which has lost eight straight, got 12 points from Ghiavonni Robinson, and Lynch finished with 10. For the first time this season, the New England Patriots will get an up-close look at New York Jets running back Matt Forte. But had a few hours in March gone a little differently, it would have been the Jets getting their first look at Forte. On the first day of free agency in 2016, Forte flew into New Jersey to meet with the Jets, who decided to sign him. There were some concerns about the condition of his knee during the physical, however, and the Jets did not rush to get the paperwork done, league sources told ESPN.The delay made Forte antsy, and that evening, the 30-year-old running back headed to the airport to board a flight and sign with the Patriots, sources said.As soon as the Jets heard Forte was New England-bound, their behavior changed, sources said. Any concernns about his knee were overlooked, and the three-year, $12 million contract was written up and signed. College Jerseys Cheap. Earlier this week, Forte acknowledged that the Patriots had reached out about potentially signing him.My agent told me they called, Forte told NJ Advance Media on Wednesday. I asked if they talked about anything, and he said they just wanted me to come for a visit. MINNEAPOLIS -- The new U. Wholesale NMD NZ .S. Bank Stadium is getting some harsh reviews after its first concert. The downtown Minneapolis stadium hosted country superstar Luke Bryan on Friday evening. But many of the 46,000 fans faced very long lines to get inside. Fans who paid for high-priced floor seats had trouble getting to them because stadium staffers ran out of the wristbands required for floor admission. Long lines were also reported for womens restrooms and concessions. Many people who drove to the sold-out show also got a surprise. While street parking used to cost $15 around the old Metrodome, it now costs $25, even several blocks away. However, Metro Transit says departing fans had a much easier time boarding buses and trains than after the stadiums inaugural event, a soccer match Aug. 3. Adidas NMD NZ Online . On tap: By the time Week 17 baseball action gets underway, the non-waiver trade deadline will have passed. However, the huge flurry of activity that is likely to come over the weekend is bound to cause a ton of juggling, not only of the scheduled pitchers for the upcoming week but also of the rankings themselves. The best course of action is to wait as long as possible to set your lineups for the week ahead because things could easily change again between the time you wake up on Monday and the time lineups lock in the evening.Lucas Harrell has already been dealt from the Atlanta Braves to the Texas Rangers, with Nick Martinez getting sent to the minors by the Rangers. Atlanta has also demoted Matt Wisler to Triple-A after a fourth consecutive outing in which he allowed at least six runs. Those two rotations will be in flux for the upcoming week, assuming no further deals are made.Andrew Cashner is on his way to Miami along with?Colin Rea?to join the Marlins rotation. Both are likely to stay on turn for the Marlins, although it is certainly possible that manager?Don Mattingly will do some sort of rotational restructuring once his new arms arrive. In return, San Diego will receive four players, including right-hander Jarred Cosart, who would presumably jump right into the Padres rotation. While Blake Snell isnt going anywhere, who knows how many of his Tampa Bay Rays teammates might end up wearing other uniforms by Monday. Tampa Bay is said to be listening to offers for Matt Moore, Jake Odorizzi, Drew Smyly and Chris Archer -- even Erasmo Ramirez is believed to have drawn interest from the Orioles.Expect at least one of those pitchers to end up changing clubhouses in the next few days, with many more transactions to sift through before we turn the page on the calendar and head into the final two months of the season in earnest.Quickly jump to any section, if you want specific intelESPN lineup deadlinesInterleague impactProjected starting pitchersPitching scuttlebuttWeek 15 pitcher rankingsHitting ratingsHitting advantagesESPN leagues: Lineup deadlinesOnce again, weve got only Monday night games in Week 17, as ESPNs Monday Night Baseball game kicks things off with the start of the Subway Series at 7 p.m. ET. Fantasy owners have more time to set their weekly lineups this week.Remember that game times have tremendous influence upon daily planning, so be aware of every days first scheduled pitch. This week, they are:Monday, Aug. 1: 7 p.m. ET (Yankees at Mets on ESPNs Monday Night Baseball) Tuesday, Aug. 2: 7:05 p.m. ET (two games out of a full evening slate begin at that time) Wednesday, Aug. 3: 2:20 p.m. ET (Marlins at Cubs, one of three day games) Thursday, Aug. 4: 12:10 p.m. ET (two out of five day games start at that time) Friday, Aug. 5: 7:05 p.m. ET (three games out of a full evening slate begin at that time) Saturday, Aug. 6: 1:05 p.m. ET (Indians at Yankees, one of three day games) Sunday, Aug. 7: 1:05 p.m. ET (Indians at Yankees, one of 14 day games)Interleague impactThis weeks interleague series:Yankees at Mets (2 games, Aug. 1-2)Mets at Yankees (2 games, Aug. 3-4)Mets at Tigers (3 games, Aug. 5-7)Cubs at Athletics (3 games, Aug. 5-7)Red Sox at Dodgers (3 games, Aug. 5-7)Yankees traditional DH, 2 games in NL ballparks: Alex Rodriguez has already been sitting against right-handed pitchers, so he wasnt likely to see any starts against the Mets scheduled starters for the Citi Field portion of this four-game series. Carlos Beltran will presumably remain in the No. 3 spot in the Yankees order, playing right field, with Aaron Hicks going to the bench for this pair of games.Mets probable DH(s), 5 games in AL ballparks: The Mets are certainly hoping that Jose Reyes will be back in the lineup by Wednesday. Reyes is suffering from a Grade 1 strain of his intercostal muscle and, assuming hes healthy, could be slotted into the DH spot as a way of mitigating the risk of reinjury. Wilmer Flores and Kelly Johnson would be the other primary options to either DH themselves, or provide a day of defensive rest for one of the Mets regular starters.Cubs probable DH(s), 3 games in AL ballparks: While its certainly possible that manager Joe Maddon will once again use the DH spot as a way to give players like Dexter Fowler and Kris Bryant a mini-day off (as he did against the White Sox), its likely to be Jorge Soler who fills the DH role at some point this series. Soler is expected to return to the Cubs over the weekend after a lengthy DL stint because of a strained left hamstring. The DH spot could be a nice way of keeping his bat in the lineup rather than giving the outfielder an extra precautionary day or two off.Red Soxs traditional DH, 3 games in NL ballparks: Given that David Ortiz has not played first base at all this season, odds are good that he will sit out the majority of this series, save for pinch-hit at-bats when needed. That said, both previous Boston road interleague series this season have lasted only two games, so Ortiz could certainly spell Hanley Ramirez at least once, given the trio of opportunities in Los Angeles.Projected starting pitchersThe chart below lists each of the 30 MLB teams schedules and projected starting pitchers and provides a projected Bill James game score for each days starter.Projected starting pitchers, Aug. 1-7 P: The starting pitchers projected Bill James game score, accounting for past history (three years worth as well as past 21 days), opponent and ballpark. A 50 is typically deemed a quality start by this measure, while a 70 is considered a dominant start.Pitching scuttlebuttAthletics: Rich Hill is currently scheduled to throw on Aug. 6, but that all depends on how his blister problem resolves itself. If hes unable to make a start this weekend against the Indians, the whole Oakland rotation may be thrown into further disarray.Astros: Doug Fister will be going on the paternity leave list over the weekend, but its expected that hell be back with the team in time to make his start on Monday, keeping the Houston rotation on track for the week.Braves: Julio Teheran (lat) is set to return to action on Saturday, and while his subsequent start is currently set for Aug. 5, if he feels up to it -- and because of the wheeling and dealing Atlanta has already done -- he may be moved up a day to Thursday.Cardinals: After Jaime Garcia went just five innings on Tuesday, the team has decided to pitch him on short rest Saturday, with Carlos Martinez -- who also pitched on Tuesday in a twin-bill -- going Sunday. With an off day on Monday, the two can revert to their regular order, giving Garcia six days of rest before taking the mound again Aug. 6.Dodgers: Brett Anderson (back) has started his rehab assignment, and will likely need at least two more outings before returning to the Los Angeles rotation. Two weeks away is a likely good estimate here.Orioles: Vance Worley will be skipped over against Toronto this weekend and may be used exclusively out of the bullpen until Ubaldo Jimenez has another clunker. Jimenez, who is likely to start again on Wednesday, struck out eight over five innings in a no-decision on Thursday at Minnesota.Pirates: Ryan Vogelsong (eye) threw seven strong innings at Triple-A on Wednesday and should be ready to rejoin the Pirates in Week 17, most likely with two starts on the slate (Tuesday and Aug. 7). Steven Brault would be the likely Sunday replacement should anything go wrong in Vogelsongs return.Red Sox: Theres been some concern over the effectiveness of Steven Wrights knuckleball when the humidity is too high. That said, manager John Farrell isnt planning on altering his rotation based upon the daily weather report. Expect Wright to start, regardless of the conditions in Los Angeles, on Aug. 5.Reds: Homer Bailey has been activated from the disabled list and is making his return from Tommy John surgery on Sunday. Obviously, hell be monitored closely and given plenty of rest between starts for now, but assuming all goes well, he should be back on the hill again come Aug. 6.Twins: Tyler Duffey is scheduled for two starts in Week 17 (Monday and Saturday), but he may not make the second one if he doesnt shine in the first -- assuming he gets the call at all. Duffey has allowed 11 runs over just five innings in his last two starts. For now, manager Paul Molitor says Duffey will go Monday, but Jose Berrios is lined up to start on the same day at Triple-A.White Sox: Anthony Ranaudo, who conceivably could have been in line for two starts this week, was optioned back to Triple-A Charlotte. Carlos Rodon (wrist) is just about ready to return and is tentatively set to start on Sunday. Assuming Chris Sale doesnt get moved, hell be the White Sox pitcher doing double duty in Week 17.AJs Week 17 pitcher rankingsNote: The following rankings list specific assignments, where announced (or logically projected), otherwise theyre projected opponents without dates. If a date is not listed, it means that the pitcher is expected to be part of his teams rotation and these are his most likely opponents for Week 17. As assignments continue to be announced, these will be updated with new dates and/or opponents. If a pitcher is excluded, his Week 17 matchups were too uncertain to project/rank, but he will be added when his assignments are known.1. Matchup ratings for each individual game are listed under the corresponding date.Hitting matchup chart, Aug. 1-7 H: Hitters matchup rating, which accounts for the opposing starting pitchers past history (three years worth as well as past 21 days) as well as ballpark factors. L: Hitters matchup rating accounting only for left-handed hitters. R: Hitters matchup rating accounting for only right-handed hitters. S: Base-stealing matchup rating, which accounts for the opponents catchers ability to gun down opposing base stealers. Ratings range from 1-10, with 10 representing the best possible matchup, statistically speaking, and 1 representing the worst.Hitting advantagesHere are this weeks volume plays, defined as the teams that play the most home games, or games against right- or left-handed starters:Total games: Red Sox 7, Yankees 7, Rays 7, Blue Jays 7, Indians 7, Royals 7, Twins 7, Astros 7, Mariners 7, Mets 7.Home games: Rays 7, Astros 7, Mariners 7, Diamondbacks 6, Rockies 6, Padres 6, Tigers 6, Yankees 5.Versus LH: Mariners 5, Angels 4, Red Sox 3, Cubs 3, Dodgers 3Versus RH: Yankees 6, Rays 6, Blue Jays 6, ?Pirates 6, Diamondbacks 6, Padres 6, 12 teams face five right-handed pitchers.Houston hitters have been far less productive at home this season, batting 13 points lower on the season in Minute Maid Park. Additionally, a teamwide slump saw the Astros hit just .244 in July, 24 points lower than they did in June. Add to the mix hamstring injuries to Luis Valbuena and Carlos Gomez, and this is a lineup that should probably be avoided in Week 17.Not only do the Mets get to play five out of seven games with a DH, adding to their lineups run-production potential for the week, but they also face five right-handed pitchers. Five different Mets have double-digit home runs against righty starters this season. Throw into the mix that theyll also face left-hander CC Sabathia, who posted a 6.55 ERA against the Flushingites in 2015.Yes, the Arizona Diamondbacks are home for six games in Week 17, and its true that Chase Field has seen the fourth-highest home run production in 2016, according to ESPNs Park Factors. However, they start the week having to face both Stephen Strasburg and Max Scherzer. The weekend series against the Brewers should go much better, but if youre not able to make daily lineup moves, this may be a lineup to avoid this week. ' ' '
NEW YORK -- CC Sabathia preferred the way he finished off Wednesdays game to the way he started it. Authentic Adidas Ireland Shoes . And he was perfect for nearly his first five innings. The Yankees ace struck out nine and pitched his first complete game of the year to give his busy bullpen a rest and help New York finish off a sweep of the Indians with a 6-4 win over Cleveland. The Yankees top two relievers, closer Mariano Rivera and setup man David Robertson had each pitched an inning the last two nights, and the rest of the bullpen had seen a good amount of use, too, with five pitchers getting more than seven innings of work the last two days. "We really needed it," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. "I didnt really want to use Mo, but I would have with two outs in the ninth." Sabathia made that unnecessary with a 1-2-3 ninth, his first clean inning since the fourth. Travis Hafner and Brett Gardner homered early for Sabathia, who didnt look as if he would need much help at all after retiring his first 14 batters. "Its just the way we would draw it up," Gardner said. "He looked real good. He had no-hit stuff." Sabathia said he didnt even notice he was perfect until he heard fans cheering in appreciation. He was happier to close out the game himself. "Im still trying to get a feel for the game," in the fifth, Sabathia said. "Probably (would have noticed in) another inning or two." New York swept the Indians in three games to finish a homestand that began with two losses to the Mets and a 1-2 series against Boston. The Indians were swept in their only visit to the Bronx last season, too. Hafner, who was Sabathias teammate in Cleveland when the Indians beat the Yankees in the 2007 AL division series, hit a two-run homer in the first inning off Corey Kluber (3-4), and Gardner added a three-run shot in the second following Chris Stewarts RBI single. It was enough for Sabathia, who threw three straight balls to leadoff hitter Michael Bourn, then looked dialed in. He struck out the side in the third, as well as the leadoff hitter in the fourth. Sabathia (6-4) did not allow a baserunner until Mike Aviles singled cleanly with two outs in the fifth inning, then he looked more pedestrian. "He was really spotting it up," Clevelands Nick Swisher said of his former New York teammate. "I mean, you go into the batters box and youre used to seeing 94-95 mph, and all of a sudden, youre seeing these back door breaking balls coming at you, just -- bam -- right on the corner." Cleveland put together a couple of runs in the sixth, on three straight singles capped by Jason Kipnis run-scoring hit off first baseman Mark Teixeiras glove. Nick Swisher added a second run when he reached on a fielders choice. Yan Gomes hit a two-run shot off Sabathia in the seventh inning to get the Indians within two runs. Kluber was rocked early, but gathered himself enough to make it through six innings with seven hits and a walk. He struck out eight, and only was charged with four earned runs because Bourn couldnt handle Robinson Canos sinking liner in centre before Hafners home run. He allowed three baserunners with seven strikeouts in his last 5 1-3 innings after Gardners homer. "I just left a few balls over the heart of the plate a little too much early on. The difference was, I didnt make those mistakes after that," Kluber said. "At that point, I was just trying to go deep in the game, continuing to get outs and just try to keep them there to give us a chance to come back and win." CHICAGO -- Greg Maddux was the Opening Day starter in his Braves debut when he beat his former team in Chicago in April of 1993. Cubs fan Dan Lepse remembers it well.Cubs lost 1-0, he said. Coldest I have ever been in my life.Lepse also recalls it was the day he proposed under the Wrigley Field marquee to his future wife Tricia, who immediately ran for the bathroom because it was the only place that had heat. The first person she told we were engaged was the bathroom attendant, he said.Ah, the Cub fan. Much has been said, mocked and dissected in regard to this unique species. Motivated by a deep, often familial and civic loyalty, energized by unbridled and childlike optimism and distinguished by a gnawing and perpetual state of angst, Cubs fans may resemble those from other cities and towns, but its the rare combination of these traits that sets them apart.Psychiatrist and lifelong Cubs devotee Neal Spira would not go so far as to mix business and pleasure and say Cubs fans are a textbook example of any particular psychosis. No, no, not textbook, Spira said. Maybe a paper, though. You could definitely write a paper about the psychology of the Cubs fan.Dr. Leo Weinstein, Spiras colleague at the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis, goes back to a central theme of psychotherapy in probing Cubs fans, and the theory that unconscious childhood feelings get expressed in adulthood. It taps into this feeling a lot of us have that things should be fair, that people should take turns and its our turn to win, he said. It also taps into the idea a lot of us believe subconsciously that if you suffer enough, youll be rewarded.Cubs fans have suffered for 108 years, so it only makes sense well be rewarded -- not because our team is good or that Theo Epstein and the front office have assembled a winning team, but because its right. And when [that] turns out not to be true, were upset. People have a hard time giving up that feeling ... but its a problematic way to live your life.Dan Lepse laughs at the prognosis but doesnt altogether dispute it.Lepse is a resident of Seattle, and he became a Cubs fan for life at age 8, when his father took him on a Midwestern baseball swing after their hometown Pilots moved to Milwaukee. On their trip to Wrigley, Seattle native Ron Santo hit a home run, Fergie Jenkins earned the win and a little boy fell in love. This year, Dan and Tricia celebrated their Sandberg anniversary, or in laymens terms, their 23rd. (Ryne Sandberg played as a second baseman for the Cubs and wore No. 23.)In addition to remembering the 40-degree temperatures and the wind whipping off the lake on that day in April 93, Dan also remembers his wife being none too happy with the amount of time she had to wait [for the proposal].But I guess that was the Cubs fan in me, he said. Adidas Ireland For Sale. Always leave em wanting more. The couple have three daughters: Sammy (after Sosa), Kerry (after Wood) and Addison (after the street bordering Wrigley). Dan has a Wrigley Field turnstile in his house. And when Lepse interviewed for his current job of sports information director at Seattle Pacific University eight years ago, he told them if the Cubs made the World Series, he would need to take that week off.Lepse would buy a ticket and go see the Cubs by himself during summer visits to his brother in Chicago.I have seen so many things in that ballpark that should have driven me away, things major leaguers should never do, the bad baseball you encountered seeing the Cubs at Wrigley for any number of years, Lepse said. Ive left the park really frustrated. But theres something about going to see a win, even if your team [is] in last place. Thats uplifting. Its not a lost cause.Psychologist and happiness researcher Stephen Schueller likened the addiction and devotion Cubs fans have to their team to learned helplessness. As things replay over and over, its easy to rationalize away a one-year thing, said Schueller, assistant professor of preventive medicine at Northwestern. You fail so often, you feel theres nothing you can do.Youre doomed to fail because youre a Cubs fan. Its a little sad. But Im an optimistic person, so I hope they win and break the curse.Of course, they already have broken the one that extends 71 years, the last time the team reached the World Series, which comes into some conflict with Schuellers study of happiness.Happiness is based on low expectations, he explained. When you have high expectations, a lot has to be delivered to get emotional. The Cubs were always that team you didnt expect to make it. ... But this year, they were a team of destiny and started out the season on such a historic pace, so fans had really high expectations, and thats really dangerous as far as ones emotional impact.A World Series loss could be very tough to take.It will be really hard on people, depending on how it goes, Spira said. If they really fold, I think people will be destroyed. If they go for it, people could feel good about it.Its inconceivable to some that the Cubs traditional cry of Wait til next year would take on a whole new meaning if they win the World Series. In the meantime, that long lost child in every Cubs fan can do little but wait.It has been 108 years [since the Cubs last won the World Series], so its long overdue, Weinstein said. For that reason, the thinking goes, we will win. The worlds magical forces will make the world just.Every year, were just waiting for justice to occur. ' ' '
INGLEWOOD, Calif. Schuhe Schweiz Store . -- Stan Kroenke had dreamed of turning over this particular ceremonial shovelful of dirt ever since his first pre-dawn glimpse of this corner of Inglewood several years ago.The real estate tycoon relished the thought of filling the largest block of contiguous unused land in the Los Angeles area with a lavish, career-defining stadium for his Rams. Under a brilliant Southern California sun Thursday, the team owner officially broke ground on the project with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts at his side. This was so impressive, Kroenke said, recalling his initial late-night clandestine visit to the site. Honestly, I couldnt believe it existed. From my perspective, this should not exist. From our perspective at the NFL, (the situation) probably shouldnt have existed, either. There should not have been a market like the greater Los Angeles area with no NFL team. But both of them existed, and we were very excited, so we started working. The groundbreaking was merely ceremonial: Work has already begun on the estimated $2.6 billion stadium and surrounding entertainment district on the former site of the Hollywood Park racetrack, next door to the famed Forum. The huge construction site is buzzing with crews working toward the scheduled August 2019 opening. The first stadium to be built specifically for an NFL team in Los Angeles is already booked to host the Super Bowl in February 2021.The 69-year-old Kroenke, a billionaire developer married to a Walmart heiress, clearly sees the project as a centerpiece of his legacy from a career spent building less-glamorous projects around the nation. Its our goal to build the most unique and fan-friendly stadium in the world, Kroenke said. Were going to give you something to be proud of. Were going to build a global destination ... in the entertainment capital of the world. We think people from all over the world will seek this location out. While Kroenke finessed the Rams move back home from St. Louis over the past few years, his building plan eventually grew to the dimensions of a small city. The estimated 80,000-seat stadium will have 275 luxury suites and innumerable amenities, but its only the centerpiece of a 300-acre complex featuring 1.5 million square feet of retail and office space, 2,500 residential units, a smaller performance arena, a hotel and 25 acres of parkland. The NFL made several aborted attempts to return to LA during Goodells tenure in the league office, but the plans never gathered momentum until Kroenke presented a sound financial plan to build a stadium complex that could become the West Coast hub for the NFLs operations. We are confident that this is going to be the place to be in 2019 and beyond, Goodell said. Not just for football, but for entertainment, for events, for eating, for living, for working. Thats whats going to come to Inglewood and the Hollywood Park area, and we couldnt be more excited to have the NFL be a part of that.Kroenke has returned the Rams to the market after a 21-year absence, moving them out of his native Missouri and back into LA, where he lives for most of the year. The NFL bought into Kroenkes relocation plan in January largely due to his solid stadium plan, but also required the Rams to prepare for the possibility of an AFC team joining them. The Rams are still waiting to find out whether theyll have roommates in Inglewood. The San Diego Chargers are contemplating their future after their latest failed stadium ballot measure, with a January deadline to announce their plans.Rams chief operating officer Kevin Demoff said Kroenke speaks to Chargers President Dean Spanos regularly, but the Rams dont know the Chargers intentions. If the Chargers elect to take yet another shot at San Diego, the Oakland Raiders could have the opportunity to return to Los Angeles, where they were based from 1982-94. The Raiders are expected to file for relocation to Las Vegas in January, but the Chargers decision could clear the way for a more lucrative move back to Los Angeles. If they get their issues resolved in San Diego and the issues in Oakland, I think thats an ideal solution, frankly, Goodell said. Thats what we would all like to see have happen. Illawarra Hawks have compounded a miserable week for the New Zealand Breakers by securing a hard-fought 95-91 NBL victory in Auckland on Friday. The Breakers looked lethargic for much of the match, sorely missing star guard Corey Webster who was suspended by the club after he was arrested on a minor assault charge earlier in the week. The Breakers season-long struggles with ball security continued and the turnovers came with alarming regularity, particularly in the first half when they coughed up 11 to the Hawks four.Illawarras ball speed kept the Breakers defence scrambling and the Kiwis battled to disrupt the Hawks pace on offence as the Australians opened out to a 29-24 lead at the first break. The Hawks dominated the second quarter 26-16 to take a 55-40 lead into halftime.Rob Loe kickstarted the second half for the Breakers with a three-pointer, but Rotnei Clarke continued to dominate the offensive boards for Illawarra. He also picked up 12 points in the third qquarter, including three from long range, as Illawarra matched the Breakers 23-23 to take a 78-63 lead into the final spell. Nike Schuhe Schweiz Günstig Online. Giggs, who was assistant manager to Louis van Gaal, is stuck in limbo over his future at Old Trafford, with impending new boss Jose Mourinho understood not to want the former United winger as his deputy. The Portuguese, who has agreed personal terms to succeed Van Gaal and is expected to be unveiled later this week, is believed to want Giggs in another role in his backroom staff, but it remains to be seen whether the 42-year-old will accept what amounts to a demotion. But Schmeichel, a former United team-mate of Giggs, believes if the Welshmans ultimate ambition is to manage United himself he should learn the art elsewhere before making a return. The former United goalkeeper told Sky Sports News HQ: There are two sides; the club side and the Ryan side. I think Ryans big dream is to one day manage United. To be equipped to do that, he has to go away and be a manager at other clubs - standing on his own two feet, making decisions, producing results, getting his own ideas in - rather than step-up from being assistant. Peter Schmeichel explains why Jose Mourinho and Manchester United could be the perfect match I think, for him, it would be a good idea to go somewhere else. On the other hand, Ryan is a culture bearer. He is someone who has been at the club for a very long time, and its so important that we have that within the staff. He is someone who knows what the club is, knows the tradition and history - knows everything about it. Whatever he decides, its down to him and, whatever he decides, I think that will be the right decision. But I wwould like to see him go away and come back some day prepared for the challenge because weve seen that, in the last three years at United, its a hard job to be manager there. Air Max 270 Schweiz Store. Its not something you can just step up and do. Peter Schmeichel believes Ryan Giggs wants to manage Manchester United one day Another of his former United team-mates, Paul Scholes, believes Giggs departure would be a sad day for the club, however, and is unsure what the former midfielder should do.If he left the club, I think it would be very sad, Scholes told Sky Sports News HQ. Hes been there 20-odd years and knows the place inside-out, how the club works and what kind of football is expected. It would be really disappointing if he did leave. Paul Scholes thinks Manchester Uniteds style of play under Louis van Gaal led to the Dutchman losing his job Its all down to personal preference, it depends on Mourinho and what he wants Ryan to do - if he wants him to assist him like he did with Van Gaal - and what Ryan wants to do. If he wants to go away and manage then Im sure hell be very good at it.I hope Mourinho is the right man. Joses been at big clubs and had success. OXFORD, Miss. Cheapest Jerseys China . -- No. 19 Mississippi got exactly what it needed Saturday in a relatively boring, lopsided victory.Playing just five days after an emotional loss to Florida State, quarterback Chad Kelly threw for 219 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Rebels to a 38-13 victory over Wofford of the Football Championship Subdivision level.Ole Miss (1-1) didnt look tired despite the short turnaround, scoring on all four of its first-half drives to take a 24-3 halftime lead. The Rebels didnt need to punt until late in the third quarter when the game was well in hand.I thought our kids came out with an edge, Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze said. Especially on offense.Kelly completed short touchdown throws in the first half to Markell Pack, D.K. Metcalf and Quincy Adeboyejo, and Gary Wunderlich made a 40-yard field goal as the Rebels methodically moved the ball against the overmatched Terriers. It was an efficient, mistake-free performance from Kelly, who threw three interceptions and lost a fumble in the Florida State loss. He completed 20 of 27 passes against Wofford. We were anxious to get that first win, Kelly said. The only bad news for the Rebels was when Metcalf, a 6-foot-4 freshman who has quickly earned a role as one of the teams top receivers, broke his left foot in the second quarter. He also caught a touchdown pass in the Florida State game.Freeze said he wasnt sure how much time Metcalf would miss, but its possible the injury could end his season.Ole Miss has already struggled with injuries this year. Starting cornerback Kendarius Webster and running back Eric Swinney both tore knee ligaments in the Florida State game and are done for the season.Ole Miss announced a crowd of 64,232, which is a stadium record. The Rebels spent about $60 million on offseason renovations to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, which included roughly 5,000 new seats after bowling in the north side of the stadium.Wofford (1-1) moved the ball effectively at times, but couldnt find the end zone until the fourth quarter, when quarterback Brad Butler ran for a 17-yard touchdown.SAVING PATTERSON?Freeze pulled a minor surprise on Saturday when he used redshirt freshman Jason Pellerin as the backup quarterback instead of true freshman Shea Patterson. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Pellerin completed 2 of 3 passes for 23 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also ran for a touchdown.Patterson was widely regarded as one of the nations top quarterback recruits last year, but Freeze left open the possibility that Patterson might redshirt this fall in order to save him for future seasons when Kelly, a senior, is no longer with the program.Hes certainly talented enough to play, Freeze said. But we discussed it this week, and playing him in mop-up duty is probably not the smartest thing at this juncture.QUOTABLEWofford coach Mike Ayres, who is in his 29th season leading the program, had a unique way of describing his teams growth so far this season: Were close. Were like that fat guy thats got one leg over the fence and hes close. Hes working to get that second leg over. Its tough, but its not quite there. Thats where we are. We didnt have a great day.THE TAKEAWAYWofford: The Terriers triple-option offense was decent, but finding the end zone was difficult against an SEC defense. Wofford has a 1-19 record against Football Bowl Subdivision teams.Ole Miss: The Rebels got what they needed -- an easy win. Now they can turn their attention to a marquee SEC game against Alabama in Oxford next weekend.UP NEXTWofford: The Terriers return home to face Johnson C.
